Client's Corner
All New Client Showcase Each issue of Onlineconnections includes a sampling of great site designs, broadcast emails, newsletters, print marketing, etc. And we'll continue to bring these to you. However, since so many of you have been producing such wonderful examples we will be sharing these on a more frequent basis through periodic Client Showcase broadcasts and in the newly created Client Showcase section of the Client Community.
Here's a sampling of what you can expect to see there:
Alpha Phi International Fraternity gave their site, called biograPHI, a whole new look.
UNC General Alumni Association made sure their brand new social networking feature, TarNation, was front and center on their home page.
Newsletters continue to look better and better as evidenced by the May edition of Wharton Connect and the April edition of the Torero Times from U. of San Diego.
Training Center: Tips and Tricks
Event Management:
~"A photo is worth a thousand words". Adding a photo from a past event or of the venue could possibly boost interest.
~"Inquiring minds want to know". To capture information on what other types of events your members are interested in attending, add survey questions to the event registration such as:
- List other social events you are interested in attending:
- What day of the week are you most likely to attend a Career Seminar?
- Did you attend last year's Reunion Event? Why or Why Not?
Broadcast Email:
~"Keep It Short And Sweet" Electronic Newsletters should contain well-written content along with valid links to the organizations website such as links to:
- Registration page
- Profile Update page
- Member Services
- Events Calendar (if applicable)
- Class Notes (if applicable)
Use Link Counter to track the following:
- Who clicked on the link
- When they clicked on the link (Date & Time stamp)
- How often they clicked on the link
Centering a Table in Broadcast Email or Chapter Pages WYSIWYG There are two ways to achieve this look.
1) Add align="center" to the < table > < table border="1" width="50%" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="1" align="center">
2) Wrap < div align="center">< /div> around the < table>< /table>
Note: The table doesn't appear to be centered in the WYSIWYG; however, when you Preview HTML...it is.
