St. Norbert College
We have a paper mail campaign in our Admissions office to attract transfer students (students from other colleges or universities that might potentially transfer to St. Norbert College). We used the broadcast e-mail tool to send out a broadcast e-mail to 1,798 students. At a small Catholic college, each student recruited is a huge asset from a budgetary and enrollment perspective. While the numbers for the campaign were not as high as larger schools, they were really valuable for us. We were able to find out who actually linked into the transfer student web site. Due to the use of link and open counters in the broadcast e-mail and the stats generated by the reports, we were able to focus our efforts and use resources more wisely, and recruiters could focus their time on recruiting a set group of individuals versus a large number. The recruiters were able to make follow-up calls to the students that accessed the links in the e-communication.
