Your club officers have been elected to serve you. Please contact us with suggestions for events of interest to local alumni to bring Cornellians together and educate our community about the University and its capabilities. If you have ideas, or are willing to lend a hand, we would love to get you involved. Club members are invited to attend monthly meetings of the Board of Governors, posted to our web site at www.alumni.cornell.edu/orgs/clubs/ccnnj/. During the Club year, we will e-mail information on events to Club members.

A Message From the Co-Presidents:

Dear Northern New Jersey Alumni, Students, and Parents of Students of Cornell University,

Welcome to a new year with the Cornell Club of Northern New Jersey. The intent of our Club is to maintain ties between Northern New Jersey alumni, parents, and friends and Cornell University through volunteer service, faculty speaker events, networking, scholarship funding, and a wide variety of social activities for all ages and demographics.

We have an exciting year planned including new events at the Newark Museum, Pinot’s Palette in Montclair, and a paintball excursion, as well as old favorites such as Zinck’s night, the Cornell hockey game at Madison Square Garden, faculty speakers, and the return of the monthly business networking series: Martinis & Mingling. This year we’re adding networking events in Sussex county and Hoboken. A listing of programs we have planned can be found on the “Community” page at the Club’s website.

The big event this year is Cornell’s Sesquicentennial. Cornell is celebrating its 150th birthday and we are planning a Big Red Charter Day celebration over the weekend of April 25, 2015. Are you in? Mark your calendars now!

We continue to remain dues-free, so all alumni in northern New Jersey are Club members. In order for us to reach such a large membership base, all Club communications are now electronic. Ongoing e-mails of activities and events are sent out by the Club as well as by the regional alumni office in New York, so make sure that Cornell has your most up-to-date e-mail address. In addition, information may be found on the Club's website and Facebook page.

We welcome new volunteers to propose and assist with events or serve as Club officers. In fact, we are actively looking for members in Bergen, Sussex, and Warren counties to join the board. If you would like to volunteer, please contact any of the officers or members of the Board of Governors for more information.

Are you in? We hope to CU soon!
