We are a student based chapter of the Fresno State Alumni Association. This special chapter serves as a means to bridge the gap between students and alumni; PAWS has developed into a highly engaged group of students preparing for their professional life. Not only does PAWS plan events and programs, but they also network with alumni by hosting alumni events. JOIN PAWS TODAY!
Take a Student to Eat (TASTE) is a Student Alumni Association program that pairs an alumnus with two current students. All who participate will be of the same career/study interest. The alumnus agrees to pay for the students' lunch and serves as a mentor for the lunch-hour. This is a great way for students to make connections and receive advice from those working in their desired career. Mentors receive the satisfaction of knowing they are adding to the educational and professional experience of a current Bulldog. Sign up today!

On October 1, 2008 - Partnering Alumni with
Students (PAWS) and the Alumni Association to put on an etiquette dinner at the
University House. About 140 students and 20 alumni participated in the event.
Klaus Tenbergen, Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and
Nutrition and Program Director of the Culinology Department, was the master of
ceremonies, giving tips on anything from napkin placement to international
customs. Career Services sponsored the reception to kick off the night with a live
jazz band and appetizers. The cost was only $5.00 to attend and the
students were highly engaged in the program, asking questions such as how to
hold their glass, how to eat a slippery cherry tomato, and if there was an
appropriate time to burp aloud! The sun went down during the event allowing the
ambiance of the University House garden and the beautiful rose and candle table
settings to add a charming feel to the informative evening. Watch this video!
