Kevin Martinez (2000) graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine & Science. He received his Doctorate of Medicine Degree followed by the administration of the Hippocratic Oath at the UCLA ceremony on the evening of Friday, June 1, 2007.

Kristina Brown (2002)
Robert A. Amaro (2002) has selected to attend the UCLA Anderson School of Management to pursue his MBA degree. Robert previously worked as a Vice President/Relationship Manager in the Commercial Banking Group at Citi. He has also been awarded a scholarship from The Charles E. Davidson Institute for Investment Management, The National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) and Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)/Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Prior to matriculating to school, Robert was a fellow in the Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) MBA Preparation Program. Robert is also a CFA Level II Candidate and holds a Series 7 and 63 license. Robert graduated Summa Cum Laude from CSU, Fresno and was elected to the honor societies Beta Gamma Sigma, Golden Key and Phi Kappa Phi.

Scott Fichtner (1998)
Scott Fichtner (1998) now works as an Agronomist for Western Farm Service and supervises the South-West Division Research Team.
Fichtner comes from a Fresno State family! His father, Edwin Fichtner, graduated in 1962; his mother, Patricia (Daldin) Fichtner, graduated in 1964; and his brother Edwin Fichtner, graduated in 1997.
Scott majored in Plant Science while attending California State University, Fresno and went on to receive his Master's degree from Texas A&M University in 2001 and his PhD from Colorado State University in 2007.

Aaron Pisk (2007)
Aaron Pisk (2007) graduated at the top of his MHS class in 2003. He also was awarded varsity letters in tennis as a freshman and sophomore and in basketball as a junior and senior. Pisk is graduating from Fresno State "cum laude" (grade point average of at least 3.5) with university honors as a presidential scholar. Ian Wieland (2007)
Ian Wieland (2007) was the MHS student body president when he graduated eighth in the class of 2003. He played baseball and basketball. He, too, was recognized as an eagle scout as a member of Troop 116. Wieland is graduating from the Smittcamp Family Honors College at Fresno State with a grade point average of 3.87 magna cum laude with university honors as a presidential scholar. C. O'Neill (1700)
Cornelius O'Neill (2007) graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Engineering from California State University, Fresno at the age of 84. University officials say he is one of the university's oldest graduates. O'Neill originally pursued a degree during the 1940's, but his college career was interrupted by WWII. He continued working towards his degree, and he received his diploma during the May 2007 Commencement ceremony.  Click here for photo

Timothy Johnson (2004)
Timothy L. Johnson (2004), fiddler for the Sons of the San Joaquin Valley, is the Director of the Merced College Orchestra Ensemble. He's also currently pursuing a doctorate in music arts from Boston College. He is an FSAA member.

Barbara Ainsworth (1974) was recently featured in "SDSU Universe," an online magazine for San Diego State University. A professor of exercise and nutritional sciences, she holds a BA from Fresno State, as well as an MA, PhD and MPH from the University of Minnesota.  Click here for photo

Tara Powers-Mead (2005)
Tara Powers (2005), a graduate student, has won the Student Leadership Award at the statewide CSU Alcohol and Other Drugs Education Conference. She recently received a "Thumbs Up" for this honor from "The Fresno Bee."  Click here for photo

Lejla Tricic (2002)
Lejla Tricic (2002, 2006) was named the University Graduate Medalist at Fresno State's recent commencement ceremonies. Also the Dean's Medalist for the College of Arts and Humanities, she completed her M.A. in English, Literature option, with a 3.94 GPA. A refugee from Bosnia 13 years ago, she entered Fresno State in 1998 and was selected as a dean’s medalist as an undergraduate in 2001. Tricic has worked as a teaching assistant at Fresno State and an instructor at the Clovis College Center. Her writing has received attention from notable scholars, doctoral programs and publishers and she has been asked to contribute to an anthology to be published by Cambridge University Press. Tricic’s thesis was on postcolonial theory implicit in the works of Victorian novelist Charlotte Brontë. She is also working on her M.F.A. in Creative Writing.  Click here for photo

Kevin Cooper (2006)
Kevin S. Cooper (2006) was awarded the President's Medal at Fresno State's 95th Commencement Cermonies held at the Save Mart Center. He was also the Craig School of Business Dean’s Medalist and completed his B.S. in business administration, finance option. As a member of the Bulldog football team, he was the top academic performer and was named to the Academic All-WAC team for the 2004 season. Cooper is an FSAA member.  Click here for photo
