Amanda (Holder) Leath (1999)
Amanda (Holder) Leath (1999) writes, "I am honored to have been spotlighted in the spring edition of Fresno State Magazine for all of my accomplishments since graduating in 1999. It is a privilege to have served on the Board of Directors for the Alumni & Friends of the Craig School of Business for the past few years and I look forward to many more years of serving my community."

Amanda (Holder) Leath (1999)
Amanda (Holder) Leath (1999) and James Leath II (2008) are happy to announce their marriage on March 28, 2008 in Napili Beach, Maui. They currently reside in Fresno, CA. "We were fortunate to be joined by our family, friends, and colleagues (many of whom are Fresno State Alumni), as we celebrated our marriage at the Smittcamp Alumni House at Fresno State on April 19,2008."  Click here for photo

Amanda (Holder) Leath (1999)
Amanda (Holder) Leath (1999) recently accepted a position at REC Solar, Inc. located in Fresno, CA as Regional Sales & Marketing Specialist. Amanda recently was employed at KMJ Newstalk 580 as Account Executive. "I'm on a mission to bring solar to the mainstream throughout the Central Valley. Savings for Today. Energy Forever!"

Richard Asarian ()
Richard Asarian, 61, of Scenery Hill, died Tuesday at his home. In his professional career, Dr. Asarian focused much of his attention on bringing hope to people with behavioral problems, including criminal offenders. Besides his son, of Washington, D.C., and brother, of Chico, Calif., Dr. Asarian is survived by his former wife, Anne Asarian Cummins of Washington, Pa., and three nephews.

Ben Drati (1997)
Ben Drati (1997) became the principal of Clovis West High School on April 14th. Drati has been instrumental in school reform at Clovis West, which has the best high school test scores in the district and the Valley. He led efforts to improve teacher collaboration, student-teacher relations and intervention for struggling students. In 1995, Drati graduated with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from California State University, Fresno, where he was a linebacker for the Bulldogs. He coached football and taught chemistry at Central High School where he realized his calling was in education.  Click here for photo

Wendell Bell (1948)
Wendell Bell (1948), Professor Emeritus of Sociology, Yale University, was recently honored by the Association of Professional Futurists who voted his two-volume work, "Foundations of Futures Studies: Human Science for a New Era," to be among the top 10 "most important futures works" in the recent past as well as the classics. Bell's volumes were ranked second after Peter Schwartz's "Art of the Long View," and ahead of many other works including Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring," Alvin Toffler's "Future Shock" and Francis Fukuyama's "The End of History."  Click here for photo

Chyresse Lowther (2001)
Chyresse Lowther (2001) and Chris Hill are happy to announce their engagement. The wedding will take place in July at the Peoples Church in Fresno. Lowther, a journalist, and Hill, an analyst, live in Sacramento.  Click here for photo

David Tobin (1999)
David Tobin (1999) will wrap up on production for MTV’s “Legally Blonde the Musical: The Search for Elle Woods.” The musical will come out at the start of June. He has also been picked up by Roland Music and Lunch Box Studios as a photographer.

Robert Weibel (1990)
Robert Weibel (1990) I will be exhibiting new gunpowder drawings in this group show in downtown LA during May 2008. Robert Weibel is a figurative artist and printmaker producing a variety of works on paper from his RAW INK Studio in Fresno, California. He has also completed several public art projects and is currently exploring mixed media. His 2008 gunpowder drawing was described by the Fresno Bee as "chat-stoking" and "remarkable".

Ernest Kinney (1966)
Ernest Kinney (1966) passed away at the age of 63. Mr. Kinney, a member of the California Bar Association since 1975, was a popular and well-known defense lawyer in Fresno County. During his time at Fresno State Mr. Kinney served as Associated Student Body President.

Catching Up
Inman Perkins (1700)
Inman Perkins was featured in the collegian for his Bulldog pride. Perkins has been going to baseball games religiously at Fresno State since 1977. Perkins gets on the dogout roof and pumps up the croud. The team enjoys him at the games and take comfort and pride knowing that someone like Perkins supports them.

Scott Fichtner (1998)
Scott Fichtner (1998) now works as an Agronomist for Western Farm Service and supervises the South-West Division Research Team.
Fichtner comes from a Fresno State family! His father, Edwin Fichtner, graduated in 1962; his mother, Patricia (Daldin) Fichtner, graduated in 1964; and his brother Edwin Fichtner, graduated in 1997.
Scott majored in Plant Science while attending California State University, Fresno and went on to receive his Master's degree from Texas A&M University in 2001 and his PhD from Colorado State University in 2007.  Click here for photo

Aaron Pisk (2007)
Aaron Pisk (2007) graduated at the top of his MHS class in 2003. He also was awarded varsity letters in tennis as a freshman and sophomore and in basketball as a junior and senior. Pisk is graduating from Fresno State "cum laude" (grade point average of at least 3.5) with university honors as a presidential scholar.
