9th Annual National Day of Service Porject

We will volunteer at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank assembling food packages for over 23,000 low income seniors, women with infants, and children in Los Angeles County. The food packages consist of food items like canned fruit, canned vegetables, rice, cereal and other non-perishable food items.  All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes.  Minimum age requirement to volunteer is 14 (sorry, no exceptions).

150th Anniversary Service Project & Luncheon

On May 2nd, the Boston College Alumni Association Los Angeles chapter cordially invites you to attend a reception at Shutters on the Beach with Jack Butler, S.J., vice president for university mission and ministry. Registration will begin at 7 p.m. and the program will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.

Jack Butler, S.J., recently delivered a keynote address on campus in Conte Forum on March 18, 2012. Please click here to listen to Fr. Butler's inspiring remarks.

A Symphony of Hope: The Haiti Project' Live Concert Premiere Announced
August 3, 2012

On August 3, 2012, A Symphony of Hope: The Haiti Project will have its world premiere live concert as part of the Grand Performances Music, Movement and Meaning program in downtown Los Angeles. The music will be performed by the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra and Choir and conducted by Lukas Richman. The event also features special guest performances by composer Mark Isham and Lucy Schwartz.

A Symphony of Hope: The Haiti Project was originally designed to help the people of Haiti in their desperate time of need. The project is a collaboration by 25 of today's leading Oscar-, Tony-, Grammy- and Emmy-winning composers to benefit Haiti Earthquake Relief.
