The Boston College Arts Alumni Network strengthens the connection between Boston College alumni in the arts and reinforces the importance of the arts within the Boston College community. The Network brings together alumni who participate in the arts in a variety of ways including: practitioners in the visual, performing, literary, or media arts; administrators of arts related companies; and arts philanthropists.

The Network exists to:

  • Connect a community of both recent graduates and established arts alumni
  • Advance the careers of arts alumni through communication about their activities
  • Encourage the creation and presentation of new artistic work by arts alumni
  • Cultivate collaborations and professional networking opportunities among arts alumni
  • Promote the Boston College reputation for general and artistic excellence through the loyalty and achievements of its arts alumni Provide opportunities for arts alumni to serve as mentors to current Boston College students

The Network is administered through an alumni volunteer leadership committee and regional alumni volunteer coordinators, with support from the Boston College Alumni Association and the Boston College Arts Council.


  • Offer regular communications via web site and e-newsletter (Fall, Spring, Summer) that will profile alumni, share relevant campus and faculty news, promote AAN events, and offer other resources and networking opportunities
  • Provide frequent opportunities for networking (professional and social) through regional events and online
  • Host bi-annual, national meetings to share resources, artistic works and inspire alumni creativity
  • Mentor students through annual Boston College Career Night in the Arts and other ongoing events
  • Leverage existing social media to support the Network (Facebook, LinkedIN, BC Online Community) and build membership
