Birmingham Area Lawyer's Club
On November 19, 2009, the BSC Lawyer's Club gathered at the law firm of Haskell Slaughter, Young & Rediker, LLC for lunch and a presentation entitled "Ethics in Government" by Ken Wallis '65, Chief Legal Advisor to Governor Bob Riley. Nearly 30 lawyers received one hour of CLE ethics credit. Thank you to our host and to everyone who attended!
On July 30, 2009, BSC lawyers in the Birmingham area met at Burr & Forman, LLP to honor 2009 BSC graduates who are entering law school. Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and drinks, an update on the group from new group leader Whitney Brown '03, and some political commentary with BSC Professor of Political Science Dr. Natalie Davis. On March 26, 2009, BSC lawyers in the Birmingham area met at the law firm of Wiggins, Childs, Quinn & Pantazis, LLC. Gray Byrum '87 of Echelon Catering provided mouthwatering hors d'oeuvres as guests enjoyed mingling and catching up with each other in the incredible space. Group Leader Brent Yarborough '97 welcomed everyone and thanked Dominick, Fletcher, Yeilding, Wood & Lloyd, P.A as well as Fuston, Petway & French for sponsoring the event. We hope everyone will join us for the next lawyer's event this summer as we "send-off" BSC graduates to law school!
On July 31, 2008, the Birmingham Lawyer's Club hosted a Lawyer's Social and Send-Off at the Tutwiler Hotel. Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and drinks while catching up with their BSC friends. The event was not only a social but a congratulatory reception for all of BSC's recent graduates entering law school. The Lawyer's Group Leader Brent Yarborough '97 welcomed everyone and recognized the recent graduates as well as the law firms sponsoring the event. Thank you to everyone who came!

On March 13, 2008, the Birmingham Lawyers Club met at Veranda on Highland for some delicious hors d'oeuvres and great drinks. Brent Yarborough '97 welcomed everyone and introduced himself as the new contact person for the group. Dr. Natalie Davis then spoke about the upcoming Presidential Election and what we could expect over the next few months. The event could not have turned out better.
