What a great group!

ReWine'd with Birmingham-Southern College
On September 1, 2009, BSC alumni in the Atlanta area gathered at Antica Posta in Buckhead for an exclusive wine dinner, featuring seasonal Italian cuisine. Dr. Sam Pezzillo, BSC Professor of Classics, gave a lively presentation entitled "Veni vidi vegi (I came, I saw, I had a salad): Latin in an Internet Age." The menu featured four courses and carefully selected wine-pairings. Delicious food, great wine, and unbeatable company!

Atlanta Alumni Business Luncheon
On June 23rd, 2009, BSC hosted its very first Atlanta Business Luncheon at the Buckhead Club. Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch and a presentation by Philip Jackson '49 on these economic times. Mr. Jackson is a Trustee of the college, a former Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C., and former Vice President of the Jackson Company in Birmingham as well as former Vice Chairman of Compass Bancshares. He currently serves as the Chairman of the BSC Finance and Investment Committee, and is a Certified Mortgage Banker and Licensed Real Estate Broker. Mr. Jackson is currently Governor of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America.
Because this first luncheon was so successful, BSC plans to host more business luncheons in the Atlanta area. Make plans to join us for the next one!

Atlanta Young Alumni Party
On September 18, 2008, Atlanta young alumni '95 to '08 gathered at SHOUT! in a private cabana area for food and drinks. With over 30 people in attendance, the party turned out to be a great success. Thank you to everyone who came!
