November 2013 Elections

President

Mazen Imad Kachmar

Alumnus (BBA ’09); Head, Marketing Department, CAESAR International Ltd., Riyadh.

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee because I have developed strong connections with many important people during the more than 20 years I have lived in Riyadh.  My experience as a current member of the Executive Committee will enable me to support AUB.

Farid Saleh

Alumnus (BS ‘92, MS ‘94); Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Imam University, Riyadh; Graduate, University of Sydney (PhD Medicine ’01); former President, AUB Alumni Association, Australia (1997-2000). 

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee to continue the good work that has been accomplished so far by all the members of the previous committees, and to build on it to achieve the common goals set by WAAAUB and the Riyadh Chapter.

Alumna (BS Chemistry ’08, MPH ’10); Research Coordinator, King Abdul Aziz Medical City, Riyadh; former Research Assistant, AUB.

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee to actively engage in promoting and serving this educational institution through the collaboration of its alumni in Riyadh.

Alumnus (BBA ’08); Senior Analyst, Corporate Development, Olayan Financing Company; previously worked at Ernst & Young, Beirut. 

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee because I believe I can add value, enjoy working in teams, want to contribute to AUB that has so generously provided for me, and because I would like to improve my reach to the community and enhance my network circle.

Faissal Bassam Al-Hariri

Alumnus (BBA ’01); Financial Accounts & Control Manager, Unimac (United Maintenance and Contracting Company), Riyadh; previously worked for Deloitte & Touche (M.E.), Dubai (2005-11); also for Medgulf for Insurance and Re-insurance, Riyadh (2003-05); Graduate, LAU (BA Business Accounting ’03); Member, Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee so I can better serve the mission of AUB (to serve the advancement of knowledge in the Middle East – specifically in my beloved country, Lebanon) through participation in introducing the University’s mission to other people and arranging social fundraising events.

Tarek Nabil Atallah

Alumnus (BEN Mechanical ’09); Senior Research Analyst, KAPSARC, Riyadh; Graduate, KAUST (MS Mechanical Engineering ’10).

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee because I am interested in reconnecting with fellow AUB alumni.  I would also like to help facilitate community-related reunion events.

Hiba Mahmoud Dandachli

Alumna (BS Nutrition & Dietetics ’04); Owner, Fashion Design & Retail, Riyadh; former Part-time Instructor, Al Yamamah University, Riyadh (2009-12); Assistant Brand Manager, Procter and Gamble Beirut (2008); Acting Head Clinical Dietitian, Clemenceau Medical Center, Beirut (2005-07); Graduate, LAU (MBA ’08).

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee because it will allow me to more fully engage in the work and activities of the Riyadh Chapter.  If elected, I would welcome the opportunity to support AUB and provide a chance for future generations of students to live the full AUB experience.

Muhammad-Ali Khaled El-Mir

Alumnus (BBA ’09); Senior Consultant, Ernst & Young, Riyadh; former Audit Team Leader, Grant Thornton; Certified Internal Auditor (CIA); Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA); and Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA).

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee because my AUB experience was one of the highlights of my life.  AUB has armed me with the technical and social tools I need to position myself.  The least I can do is wear its colors abroad and serve its community.

Ahmad Ghassan Hamieh

Alumnus (BEN Mechanical ’10); Mechanical Project Engineer, Saudi Lebanese TAROUK Contracting Company; previously worked for Dar Al Handasah, Princess Noura University, Riyadh (2010-13).

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee because having been born and raised in Riyadh, I know this city, environment, and people more than anyone.  The years I spent at AUB were the best years of my life.  I want to give back to AUB for what it gave me. 

Riebal Dib Hmaydan

Alumnus (BBA ’02); Group Account Director, Leoburnett, Riyadh.

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee to serve the AUB community in Riyadh in all aspects: social, entertainment, and work.  As a community, we need to have a stronger bond, which can impact all members.  I also want to support university students throughout their academic years.

Loulwa Kalache

Alumna (BS Food Science & Management ’09, MS Food Technology ’12); Senior Marketing & Business Developer Officer, Kaena Holding Co., Riyadh and Jeddah; former Content and Copywriting Manager, Genesis Advertising, Riyadh; former Research Assistant, Nutrition and Food Science Department, AUB; former Community Field Manager, Center for Research on Population and Health, AUB.

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee because I am proud to be a member of AUB and want to be an “Ambassador” for it no matter where in I am in the world.  I also think being part of the committee would make me feel a “sense of the AUB home.”

Hassan Mohamad Camile El Kojok

Alumnus (BBA’02); Service Manager, Saudi Oger Ltd., Riyadh; CMA, 2010.

I want to serve on the Riyadh Executive Committee because it is always good to give back to AUB alumni.  I want to support social events and widen the PR network, which is a vital weapon in industry today.
