Welcome Class of 2009!Congratulations and welcome to the Appalachian Alumni Association. Please register with the Gold Book to stay connected and involved with your alma mater. The University is in the process of uploading all graduate records into the Gold Book. If you cannot at first find your record, please enter your name only and leave class year blank. If you still cannot find your record, please email the McKinney Alumni Center alumni @appstate.edu. We encourage you to create your own alumni permanent e-mail forwarding address, such as 09grad@alumni.appstate.edu. All student accounts will be deactivated 90 days after graduation. Congratulations again!
Changing your nameAlumni who have recently married or need to change their name as reflected on University records are asked to fill out a simple form and return it to the University. You can download the form here. (.pdf file)
Set your preferences for e-mailRegistered users of the Gold Book can now customize the e-mails they receive from the McKinney Alumni Center. You can choose one or more of the following categories: Academic, Alumni announcements, APPdate e-newsletter, Arts, Athletics and Development. To set your preferences, log-in to the Gold Book. In the left-hand menu select "Member Services." Regarding the permanent alumni e-mail forwarding address...It is not an actual e-mail account but an address which will forward e-mail to an e-mail account. The purpose of the permanent e-mail forwarding address is to prevent having to update friends, family and business cards with a new address whenever you change jobs, Internet service providers, etc.You can create your own e-mail forwarding address ending in "@alumni.appstate.edu." Once your create this e-mail name, it cannot be changed.
