Paul Visentin (2009) Paul Visentin (2009) and Danielle (Waldrop) Visentin (2007) are happy to announce their marriage on October 24, 2009 in Concord, NC. They currently reside in Abingdon, VA. Everette Latta (1961) Dr. Mike Latta ('61, '64) received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Wingate University during his 50th class reunion in October 2009. Twenty years ago this month, he received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Appalachian [October 1989]. In 2001, Dr. Latta was inducted into the Reich College of Education’s Rhododendron Society. This followed a residency/graduate program during which I earned a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Medicine from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. During the residency I was able to spend a lot of time at NASA and the FAA dealing with medical certification and safety issues. I am currently looking for more work in the fields of Preventive and Aerospace Medicine and I am willing to relocate. I also have a Master of Arts in Biology Education from ASU so I can teach medical courses. Does Boone sound like a possibility?"   Submitted on Oct 21 2009. Edgar Stallings (1970) Edgar Stallings (1970) writes, "I retired after 37 years in mental health, community college and public school education. I reside in Welcome, NC along with my wife, Mary Sue. We are blessed with a grandson and have another grandchild on the way. I recently wrote a memoir highlighting my early experiences as a teacher and coach in the mountain town of Saluda , NC; "My Saluda Seasons". It can be ordered from any bookstore as well as online from Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Borders and Wordclay.com.
