Christopher Lambert (2005) and Ashley (Farrington) Lambert (2006) are happy to announce their marriage on May 18, 2009 in Ochos Rios, Jamaica . They currently reside in Jefferson NC.

Jessica Foster (2008) and Jack Thomas, Jr. are happy to announce their marriage on June 20, 2008 in Smith Grove United Methodist Church, Mocksville. They currently reside in Mocksville, NC. They went on a honeymoon trip to Savannah, GA.

Matthew Prentice (2008) received a Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May 2009.

Matthew Prentice (2008)
Matthew Prentice (2008) recently accepted a position at Easter Seals UCP NC located in Durham, NC as Respite Counselor.

"The NC START (North Carolina Systemic, Therapeutic Assessment, Respite and Treatment) Program is exclusively available to serve adults (age 18 y/o and above) that have a primary diagnosis of Developmental
Disability (DD) and challenging behaviors, often with a co-occurring mental illness.

The NC START regional respite homes each have two beds reserved for eligible individuals in crisis and two beds reserved for planned caregiver respite of eligible individuals* (4 beds total).

NC START receives referrals from multiple sources, including providers, families, and crisis services including Mobile Crisis Management (MCM Teams). In the case
of a crisis referral, NC START will provide immediate technical assistance to the MCM, the family, and provider in order to stabilize the individual. Within 24 hours, the NC START team member will begin process of prevention
and intervention planning for the individual."

Matthew Prentice (2008) writes, "I have been elected for a three year term as a Delegate to the National Association of Social Workers North Carolina chapter.

The Delegate Assembly is the representative, decision-making body - comprised of 277 elected delegates - through which NASW members set broad organizational policy, establish program priorities, and develop a collective stance on public and professional issues."

Michael Scales (1991) was recently promoted to Associate Vice President for Student Affairs from Assistant Vice President at Temple University located in Philadelphia, Pa. "This promotion represented an opportunity for me to maintain my current portfolio while gaining supervision of our Campus Recreation and Student Center operations. Michael Saunders (1974) "Michael F. Saunders retired from Philip Morris USA effective March 1, 2009 after a successful 32 year career. He held numerous positions during this time. Michael and his wife Vickie will be relocating back to the Winston-Salem, NC area from Richmond, Va. in the near future."

Kern Campbell (2002) is proud to announce the birth of a baby girl, Lindsay Quinn Campbell. She was born on May 6, 2009 in Raleigh, NC, Rex Hospital, and weighed 8 lb., 9 oz.. Ashley (Mom) and Lindsay are both doing well. Big sister Avery is very excited to have a little sister. Avery has been a big help taking care of Lindsay.

Kara Marie was born at 3 lbs 12 ozs and Lucas Alexander was born at 2 lbs 10 ozs. Both are home after 25 days in the NICU and are doing well.
