USD Summer Camps

Details: Registration is open for all summer sports camps at the University of San Diego.
All USD alumni receive a 5% discount to any camp in 2006! USD offers football, volleyball,
soccer, coed tennis, softball, baseball, basketball, swimming, and all-sports camps. Adult
programs are also offered in tennis and masters swimming.

School of Nursing Alumni Event in Washington D.C.
The Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science held a nursing alumnae event in Washington DC
on March 13th, 2006. The event, hosted by the USD Alumni Association, included a "behind the scenes" tour of the US Capitol building led by the US Capitol Historical Society. A reception followed the tour in the Rayburn House Office Building. Dean Sally Brosz Hardin attended the event and provided a school update to the alumnae and their guests.

IPJ Speaker Series - Special Event "Saving Our Children from the Scourge of War"

Details: Olara Otunnu, former United Nations Special Representative for Children and Armed
Conflict and internationally known advocate for children, will discuss the campaign he led for the UN to ensure effective protection for children exposed to armed conflict, and the current conflict situation in northern Uganda. Reception will follow the lecture. RSVP by April 5, 2006.

Details: Fabulous prizes await the winner of the 2006 USD Magazine photography competition.
It's easier than ever to win, as newly revised rules allow current students, as well as employees who are alumni, to enter. The first place prize package includes round-trip airfare to and from San Diego from anywhere in the U.S. for the weekend of Homecoming 2006, as well as accomodations for two people for three nights at Humphrey's Half Moon Inn and Suites, a rental car and a complete passport to Homecoming 2006 activities.
