Scholarship benefits disaster victims

An F5 tornado hit Joplin, Mo. on May 22, 2011, killing 160 residents and destroying nearly a third of the town. Two Missouri State students, sophomore Sam Maher and freshman Parker Maher, brothers who live in Joplin, experienced the disaster first-hand.

Thanks to a major gift commitment from Bill R. Foster and the Foster Family, the new recreation center has a name: the Bill R. Foster and Family Recreation Center. More
